Jackson's Littermates{Jackson's litter sister, Caprice, also resides in the DFW area, and is owned by Cherry Rolle.} I will never forget the excitement I felt when we were notified that Puds had whelped a lovely, healthy litter of bouncing puppies. As Puds was their mother, Louise decided they should be referred to as "puddings", rather than puppies, hence the theme for the litter was chosen. The next nine weeks seemed to last for an eternity. Thanks to Louise’s regular puppy updates and the fabulous photos we received via friend Nicky Warwick, we really felt almost as if we, too, had experienced watching them grow up from day one. Ryslip Ltd. (live animal shipping company) picked up the two Texas-bound puddings in Bridlington for the drive back to the airport in London. The naughty little villains managed to get into a bag of dog kibble the night before. Being puppies, they ate the whole thing. Louise was concerned and checked with Ryslip the next morning. She (along with Cherry & I!) was relieved to hear the tough, hearty little tykes were doing just fine and would be ready to leave London on schedule. We were incredibly thrilled, to say the least. I can honestly say I was a nervous wreck from the moment the puddings left Louise, until we laid eyes upon them at the British Airways terminal in Dallas, approximately twenty-four hours later. My heart was pounding with excitement and I’m certain I had worn a path in the tiles in front of the cargo-receiving desk. As promised, these lovely little puddings took our breath away. We immediately headed home to phone Louise (midnight her time) to let her know they had made it here safely, with not so much as a scratch. The puddings arrived seemingly unfazed by the long journey. You would think they had simply gone for a car ride thirty minutes up the highway. The girls at Ryslip had e-mailed me that morning, to say the puppies were absolutely beautiful. They also said for us not to be surprised if the shipping crates arrived empty. These folks were absolutely terrific. I cannot imagine sending a tiny puppy overseas without using their top rate services, unless the owner him- (or her-) self is able to accompany the puppy. We were pleased Louise had recommended them.
